Even though you might not think about it, summer is fast approaching. If you don't start planning now, you wont make your body shine for bikini season. So, what I want to do is give you some easy tips that will help you be the envy of everyone at the beach!

Bikini Season Tip #1

The first and most important tip I can give you is that you must plan for this! You cant expect to just go into the gym 4 weeks before summer and expect to look great! So, what you need to do is set a goal at least 6-12 weeks out that way the day the pool/beach opens up you are ready to go and have the body YOU deserve!

Bikini Season Tip #2

Now that we know we need to plan lets talk about getting our bodies looking the best! The next thing we need to do is have a good workout plan together. I recommend working out at least 4-5 times a week doing moderate to heavy resistance training. Now, this is going to help you increase lean muscle tissue (you wont get big and bulky) and help decrease fat! So, its time to get started!

Bikini Season Tip #3

Diet Diet Diet.... You just cant expect to eat pizza, donuts, and ice cream and have a rockin summer body! You are going to have to cut back on junk food and increase quality food! What I recommend doing is eating good healthy small meals, 4-5 a day. Another tip is to eat your carbs in the morning and not at night! But, try and eat 4-5 small, healthy meals a day and this is going to help your metabolism skyrocket and help you lose weight for summer fast!

Lets Sum It Up!

Ok, so there are three tips that will help you lose weight for summer and look absolutely amazing in your bikini! Remember, you need to plan, have a good workout plan that makes you really sweat, and clean up that diet! You can do it! You will be the envy of everyone this summer!

Summer Workout Planning Routines

Summer workout planning takes front and center from June to late September. There are a lot of regions in the world that tend to extend their summer into early fall. In some cases, like California this can even lead into an Indian summer effect during October. What this all means is that hydration is a key component to your planning.

Hydration needs to be understood by everyone as the body has a terrific capability to exert itself with very little warm up and fluid intake (hydration). However, this can lead to severe muscle cramp and dehydration problems early in your fitness routine. The more aerobic the exercise and the more severe the temperature range you are performing in then the likelihood for becoming faint or even passing out during your exercise is much greater.

Summer workout schedules should be thought of around the weather patterns as much as possible. Early morning is a great time to beat the heat in most areas. Sorry, east coast but having just been there I know how humid the mornings can be. But, even with the humidity factor the mornings are best when it comes to overall impact to the body’s natural cooling ability, sweat.

One of the most important planning and execution items prior to your workout is hydration or applying more water to your body’s thirsty engine. If you know that you are going to be in an aerobic routine on known cycles then a good rule of thumb is to hydrate (drink water) the night before. The amount of water intake should be 64 ounces. It takes the body several hours to properly absorb and replenish the water “spent” from previous events or workouts. So, by adding water to your daily meal plan in advance you will create an optimum replenishment process for overall hydration.

In addition to the night before, you should also plan on having onsite bottles of water to maintain periodic replenishment during the summer workout. Summer is by far the most draining of your liquid assets although every season should follow the patterns noted here for proper hydration. The old rule of thumb is you can never have too much water. But, caution to the wind on that one, the timing of the intake is very important as we stated above it should be done the night before in no less than sixty four ounces of water.

There are many supplemental products available on the market today as well. The most famous and probably most tested is clearly Gatorade. The original development of Gatorade was by the University of Florida to find a solution to their football team’s energy levels dropping during their grueling summer workout plans with the football team. The Gators, as they are known, had a team of researchers develop the product which today is named after the school’s mascot, Gatorade. We also believe that proper nutrition and natural supplements like the acai berry juice from Mona Vie International [http://mymonavie.com/healthnow] is an excellent choice for daily health and wellness management.

12 Weeks Till Summer Beach Body Workout Plan

I woke up this morning hearing the birds chirping and smelling that sweet spring air which always reminds me that soon summer will be upon us and we'll be able to shed these layers upon layers of bulky clothes. Then the panic sets in! The bright side of winter is that it allows us to hide those fat pockets a little easier in the layers of clothing. But not to worry because you can easily start now to bring back your beach body in time for summer!

Your biggest challenge will be the first 2 weeks as you start to break your bad lifestyle habits and adopt a leaner and more active workout plan. Start out in baby steps so you stay committed. For instance, for the first few days, drink 2 litres of water. Don't make any other changes. Pay attention to the many benefits you'll feel. Once you've got that down now pay attention to your diet. We all "think" we're eating healthy... but 9 out of 10 times we 'forgot' those high calorie snacks we couldn't resist around our "craving hours"... so lets log our food for the next 3-4 days and figure out how many calories we're consuming daily and what we should be consuming to lose weight. It's all about preparing meals and snacks in advance. Give yourself a few hours and search through online to find a menu you're satisfied with and meals that fall within your goals. Once that's prepared try and shop in advance for the week. The more prepared you are, the less likely you'll be dropping coins in the vending machines.

Now it comes to your workout plan. Your food plan is going to make you leaner and your fitness plan is going to tone your lean body. Both compliment the other. The most important thing is getting (and keeping) you active. Ideally I'd like you to be lifting weights 4x a week @ 30-45 minute sessions. Whether that's in your home, gym or office. It's important that you use proper technique as to not risk injury. And make sure you're using muscle, not momentum! You're not doing your body any good by throwing the weights around. Focus on breathing, engaging your muscles and doing the exercises at a slow (4 second) pace. If you can sign up with a personal trainer for 2-3 sessions, I highly recommend it.

Once you've gotten back into the swing of things, ask yourself a question; why do you let yourself slip into this pattern every year? Are you slowly packing on weight over the years even with all the summer work outs? Just because you are on the beach doesn't mean you can't find opportunities to show off your body in the winter to keep you wanting to look good year round. This winter keep the baggy clothes packed up and be committed to wearing form-fitting clothing that reveals your body. If you have to show it off you are less likely to abuse your body and depart your fitness lifestyle.
